Terms of Use — Calculate

1. The service

Calculate provides free web-based calculators and converters for informational and educational purposes. The site is offered “as is” without a service-level commitment.

2. Not professional advice

Finance tools (mortgage, refinance, loan, compound interest, tip, marketplace and ticket resale) are simplified models. They do not include every fee, insurance product, tax rule, lender overlay, or a platform’s live selling commission. They are not a loan offer, tax advice, or a recommendation to refinance or list an item.

Health tools (BMI, body-fat estimate, TDEE) are screening formulas, not medical devices and not a diagnosis. They cannot account for body composition, pregnancy, eating disorders, medications, or clinical context. Do not use them as a substitute for a qualified clinician.

DIY tools (paint, flooring, concrete, tile) are material estimates. Site conditions, waste, mix design, and manufacturer coverage vary. Confirm with a contractor or the product label before you buy or pour.

3. Accuracy

We aim for correct standard formulas, but rounding, browser differences, and user input errors can change results. You are responsible for checking outputs before you rely on them. We disclaim liability for decisions made using the tools to the fullest extent permitted by law.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the site for personal or internal business planning. You may not:

Scrape, overload, or attack the site
Misrepresent results as certified appraisals, medical findings, or engineering stamps
Attempt to inject malware or interfere with advertising or other users
Use the site in any way that violates applicable law

5. Intellectual property

Site design, copy, and code are owned by Calculate or its licensors. You may not copy the site wholesale. Individual calculator results you generate are yours to use.

6. Advertising

The site is designed to display third-party ads. Advertisement slots are labeled. Ads are provided by third parties and may link off-site. We do not endorse advertised products. Your interactions with advertisers are between you and them.

7. Third-party links

Pages may link to external resources (for example Google ad settings). We are not responsible for those sites.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Calculate and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from use of the tools. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (currently $0 for the free site).

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Calculate from claims arising out of your misuse of the site or your violation of these terms.

10. Changes and termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any tool at any time. We may update these terms; the date above will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the site operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where consumer protection law in your country requires otherwise.
