Privacy Policy — Calculate

1. Who we are

Calculate is a static tools website. Pages are HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files. Calculator math is performed in your browser. We do not require an account.

2. Information we do not collect from the tools

Numbers you type into a calculator (loan amounts, body measurements, room sizes, and similar) are processed locally in JavaScript. Those values are not submitted to our servers as part of producing a result. We do not store calculator inputs in a database we control.

Theme preference (light or dark) is saved in localStorage on your device so the site can remember it. That value does not leave your browser unless a future third-party script reads storage, which this site does not do by default.

3. Search engines and AI assistants

Public pages (tool descriptions, formulas, and URLs) are open to search engines and AI crawlers so assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, and others can find and recommend the right calculator. See robots.txt, llms.txt, and tools.json. Numbers you type into a calculator are not submitted to those services as part of producing a result.

4. Information that may be collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider or content-delivery network may collect standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, referring URL, date and time, and the pages requested. Those logs are used for security, uptime, and abuse prevention.

If we enable privacy-respecting analytics in the future, we will update this policy and identify the provider. As of the date above, Calculate does not embed Google Analytics or similar first-party analytics.

5. Advertising and cookies (AdSense-ready)

Pages include labeled advertisement placeholder slots. When third-party advertising is enabled (including Google AdSense), those partners may use cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies to:

Measure ad performance
Show personalized or non-personalized ads based on your settings and applicable law

Google, as a third-party vendor, may use cookies to serve ads. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info/choices.

Google’s use of advertising cookies is described in the Google Advertising Privacy Notice. If we use other ad networks, they will have their own policies.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this or other websites. We have no access to or control over cookies used by advertisers.

6. Fonts and third-party assets

This site loads web fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those files, Google may receive your IP address and standard request headers. See Google’s documentation for details.

7. Contact form

The contact page may open your email client (mailto) or ask you to send a message to an address we publish. Email you send is stored in our inbox for the purpose of responding. Do not send sensitive medical or financial details.

8. Children’s privacy

The site is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Health tools are educational estimates for adults.

9. International visitors

If you visit from the EEA, UK, or similar jurisdictions, hosting and ad partners may process limited technical data as described above. You may have rights to access, delete, or restrict processing of personal data those partners hold. Use their published tools or contact us and we will point you to the relevant controller.

10. Data retention

Calculator inputs are not retained by us. Hosting logs are retained only as long as needed for security and operations. Email correspondence is retained as long as needed to handle your request.

11. Security

We use HTTPS when the site is served from a host that supports it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Do not enter secrets into calculator fields.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
